Gifty Ovire’s singing ministry started in Church in Nigeria in 1988. The desire to sing actually emanated from admiration of a praise and worship leader at her former local church. With a simple prayer, admiration and a longing to be used in such a manner, she was leading worship in less than two weeks.

Gifty Ovire is no now an ardent member of Trinity Chapel “part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God” of which she is the Praise and Worship leader. She considers her first mentor to be her former Pastor in Nigeria, Pastor Mercy Igebafe, followed by great singers like Helen Baylor, Shirley Caesar and Yolanda Adams.

Gifty has toured the UK with former group called the DMI band. She has also made some appearances at the DMI Awards and the Gosfest International Festival.

She has also been a supporting act for various artistes like Dawkins and Dawkins, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pam Tom, Jesse Dixon, Freddie Kofi, The Wades and recently with Ron Kenoly.

She has also had the privilege of ministering in various like South Africa, (Rhema) Italy and the United States.

With this gift she hopes to influence society by using it as a tool to tear down physical and spiritual barriers and furthermore, lifting up the name of Jesus and drawing people to Christ.

To date, Gifty has ministered at the Cross Rhythms Infusion 2000 in Dublin Ireland in October 2000. She recently supported Helen Baylor and was play listed for CD of the month on Premier Radio in November 2000. She has also supported the Jordan Family and ministered at the CBC Christian Broadcasting Millennium Conference, pioneered by Premiere radio and God Channel, where they were presenting Media Awards.
